FAQ

How many people can join a tour?

Our tours are small and personal, hosted by us (Veronika and Alex). We usually keep our tours to a max of 12 people, typically around 8, but this can vary depending on availability and tour specifics. It’s more like going on hikes and walks with a group of friends than a big group tour.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Most attractions on the Amalfi Coast are outdoors. For hiking tours, we still plan to hike in light rain. But, if it’s raining heavily, we may adjust some of the mountain hikes to easier walks that are more manageable in wet conditions. If the rain persists, we’ll switch to alternative programs. For example a ceramic-making class, a visit to the Paestum temples, or a mozzarella farm. We always have rainy-day plans ready and will consult with you if adjustments are needed.

What is included in the tour price?

We try to include as many things as possible. The things that are almost always included ( unless otherwise specified in the tour description) are:

your airport transfer, accommodation, transfers between program activities. Also escorted hikes and walks, breakfast, and at least one welcome dinner. We also include some museum entrance fees in most tours.

Please note that airfare, meals not listed in the itinerary, and personal expenses are not included.

What is the meeting point for the tour?

The meeting point is specified for each tour. Usually, we offer airport transfers from Naples Airport, and pickups from Naples Central Station can be arranged. Upon request, Salerno Airport and Salerno Central Station are also possible meeting points.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, travel insurance is required. If you’re unable to participate in one of the activities, we won’t be able to offer a refund for that activity. However, your travel insurance should cover such situations.

What languages is the tour available in?

Our groups are international, so the main language is English. I also speak fluent Hungarian and Italian, and Alex is a native German speaker. You can join our tours without knowing English, as long as we share a common language to communicate.

Are there any age restrictions?

Most of our tours focus on hiking, so there are no strict age limits. But, if you’re traveling with children, they should be old enough to handle hikes of 7–10 km.

As for adults, age doesn’t matter. Whether you’re 18 or 80, as long as you’re able to do the hikes, you’re more than welcome to join!

Do I need to be physically fit to join the tour?

Most of our hikes can be completed with an average fitness level. If you’re used to longer walks, you should be just fine! If you’re unsure, feel free to ask me for the full hike plan to see if it matches your fitness level.

What should I bring with me on the tour?

Besides the usual items you’d pack, it’s a good idea to bring comfortable hiking clothes. A good pair of hiking shoes is necessary for most of our tours. Don’t forget a raincoat, and you might want to bring a small flashlight as well. Bring a reusable water bottle, as many trails have drinkable spring water or fountains on the way. A detailed packing list will be sent to you a few weeks before the tour.

What happens if I arrive late?

Most of our main programs are planned for the second day. But we do have activities, such as welcome dinners or short walks, on the day of arrival.

We ask that all participants arrive at the specified meeting point within the time window provided in the tour details. Usually between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM on the arrival day. If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee a refund or reschedule, as we have a set itinerary. But, your travel insurance should cover missed programs.

If your flights or trains are delayed, try to communicate the delay with us as soon as possible. So we can arrange your transfer as smoothly as possible. In the case of late arrivals after 10:00 PM, the driver may request a night fee compensation. This night fee should be paid by you and covered by your travel insurance.

Its important that you provide us with your flight information. So we can keep track of any potential delays and assist you accordingly.
