This hotel is a true gem on the Amalfi Coast. And one of the most luxurious accommodations on this list.
Grand Hotel Tritone is located after the village of Praiano and before Positano.
The hotel is built over a very steep cliff.
They have a curious staircase. Many steps leading down to the beach. It’s called the Impossible Staircase. But today, you don’t need to climb those steps to reach the sea. The luxurious hotel has an elevator built in the rocks. That will take you directly to the sea level.
Many rooms come with a sea view. Some also have a balcony. You can enjoy spectacular views from the terraces towards both Positano and the direction of Praiano.
There are 2 restaurants in the hotel. La Cala delle Lampare has a fantastic sea-view dining room. Restaurant Ninò is directly on the private beach of the hotel.
Beach access: Effortless access to the seaside with an elevator built inside the rock. Long beachside, one part is a mix of sand and small pebbles. The other part has sun loungers over the rocky promontory.
Parking: Free parking with valet parking is included.
Swimming Pool
Guests can enjoy two pools: a round-shaped one on the sun deck and a larger pool on the terrace above.

Transport options: The bus stop is at the hotel. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to reach Praiano. You can also arrange water taxis from the beachfront dock to reach Positano, where you can transfer to the ferries.

Il San Pietro Is one of the top choices among travelers visiting Positano.
A luxurious hotel with one of the best views over the hills of Positano.
Located on a cliffside with levels of gardens and terraces. The hotel follows a common setup seen in many other hotels along the Amalfi Coast. Guests park on the top level and then descend to the hotel via an elevator. The location is just heavenly, nestled on the hillside among the rocks.
I love how this hotel seamlessly blends into the surroundings. Most of the ingredients served in the hotel’s restaurant are sourced from its own gardens.
There is a terrace to sunbathe and enjoy the swimming pool at the hotel level. Freshwater pool, that overlooks the village of Praiano. Under the sundeck, there is a spacious garden, with a cocktail bar, and tables to sit outside.
Beach and Sea Access:
The seaside of the San Pietro has its own private platform-style beach.
It’s spacious and flat, without needing to climb steps between the sun loungers.
There is also a tennis court next to it at sea level. A true luxury of space on the rugged terrain of the Amalfi Coast.

Transport options: Free shuttle bus to Positano center. Also, the hotel has a shuttle boat to Positano Spiaggia Grande.

Hotel Borgo Santandrea is another hotel with a private beach along the Amalfi Coast.
One of the highest-rated luxurious hotels on the Amalfi Coast.
The hotel is in Amalfi, but actually closer to the village of Conca Dei Marini.
This is a very popular 5-star hotel in Amalfi. Perfect for people seeking an elegant place with luxurious services. The hotel is within walking distance from the town center of Amalfi.
A luxurious resort, built on a cliffside. The property has extended terraces and gardens on the steep hill.
The hotel itself is 90 m above the sea. Offers 29 rooms, and 16 luxury suites.
The hotel offers many facilities and a private beachfront. Elegant and curated room decor in Mediterranean style. As the name suggests a lot of castle-like elements.
There are 3 restaurants inside the structure, a bar on a panoramic terrace, and a beach bar.
Elevator
There is an elevator connecting the hotel to the gardens under. From there you can easily walk to the sundeck and reach the private shores.
Swimming pool
Fantastic suits with private pools are available. The private pools on the balconies are scenic, infinity-style pools.
There is also a pool nestled on a narrow terrace a litle above sea level. The terrace is built in the style of a medieval fortress.
Beachfront and beach access

The beachside of Santandrea has the sun all day from morning till afternoon. Stunning location, with crystal clear waters. Plenty of space to relax and swim. The shore has small white pebbles.

Once a working convent, today a 4-star hotel. The convent was founded by San Francesco di Assisi. Today is one of the region’s most renowned historical hotels.
Positioned at the summit of the promontory between Atrani and Amalfi.

Beach access and Swimming Pool
The promontory with the ancient tower is the private beach of the hotel.
Hotel Luna has private sea access, on the rocky shore under the structure. A swimming pool with a view over Atrani, in a scenic setting.
sun loungers and umbrellas are available on platforms at the rocky reefs. It’s rocky, so you need to use the ladders to enter the water.
No direct elevator from the hotel to the beachside. You need to take the elevator from the lobby to the street level, then cross the main road to access the swimming pool and private beach.

You can stop at the entrance, and the staff will take your car to a nearby garage. The parking price is not included in the hotel price.

A very elegant structure in the town of Amalfi.
Grand Hotel style, in a grandiose neoclassical building. Modern rooms, with classic-style furniture. Very curated, elegant rooms with attention to details. The rooms feature hand painted majolica floor, made in the nearby village of Veitri Sul Mare.

This hotel has freshness and modernity, with a grand-tour atmosphere. The hotel is tastfully decorated with luxury elements. Sophisticated and timeless interior.

Ravello Art Hotel Marmorata 4-star (near Minori)
Once a paper mill, this building is a testament to Amalfi’s rich paper production history. While many paper mills today are abandoned, this one luckily, got transformed into a hotel.
So it’s a pretty cool experience to stay in a building that is so tied with the local history.
L’Antica Cartiera is the restaurant of the Hotel. They serve mostly seafood specialties, so perfect to try the regional cuisine.
Beach Side and Sea Access
Outdoor swimming pool on a platform over rocky cliffs.
The sea is accessible by a couple of steps.
There are umbrellas and sun loungers over platforms.
Sundecks, with ladders for easy entry into the water.
The hotel is on the seaside in the Marmorata area. Although falls under the municipality of Ravello, it’s not in the town of Ravello itself.
Walking up to Ravello involves a hike with a 300-meter elevation gain uphill.
The hotel is between Minori and Atrani. The hotel is only 800 meters from Minori and 2 kilometers from Amalfi. Both are reachable on foot. But please note that the main road to Amalfi lacks sidewalks.
There is a public bus stop right in front of the hotel.

Budget
Hotel Cetus 4-star (Cetara)
Hotel Cetus is a 4-star hotel, more on the affordable side.
It’s situated closer to the Salerno side of the Amalfi Coast.
The hotel is right before the village of Cetara. It’s a great place to stay during your Amalfi Coast holiday. Cetara is a fishing village, that is worth a visit vile on the Amalfi Coast.
Beach Access and Facilities:
Hotel Cetus has its own private beach. And it’s quite spacious for being a private beach. The shore is pebbly with a mix of sand and stretches approximately 50 meters in length. From the land, it’s only accessible from the hotel. You can walk down on the long but gentle steps or take the elevator.
There is no Swimming pool, but a spa area with a steam bath and gym.
The Junior suite room comes with a private spa bath on the balcony.
The hotel has a restaurant with a sea view. Also a Wellness corner and spa.
The Beach is open and accessible all the time when the hotel is open. But the services on the beach are available only from June to September. (Like umbrellas and sun loungers).

Transport options:
You can take the ferries from Cetara to visit Amalfi and Positano.
Price range: $150 – $500 /night (for 2 guests)
You can find some budget-friendly deals in the spring and autumn season. This Hotel is very good value for the money. Especially if you looking for a stretch of beach on the Amalfi coast without crowds.
Hotel Villa San Michele 3-star ( Castiglione area near Atrani )
This is one of my favorite options on the list when it comes to getting the best value for your money.
Sea view balconies and terraces, and Mediterranean-style rooms. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant.
Walking distance from Atrani and Amalfi.
Sea access:
The hotel has different levels: street level, reception level, restaurant level, and residence room level. It takes about 100 stairs to reach the rooms and a couple more to reach the sea level. The hotel has its private platform. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available on the little sundeck. It’s perfect to start the day with a refreshing swim, without crowds.
Price range: $150 – $300 /night (for 2 guests)
The hotel is small, so gets booked out quickly.
Parking: free on-site parking
Transport options. You can walk to Atrani or Amalfi, but also the public bus stops here. You can also easily catch the bus going up to Ravello from here.
Bella Baia Campsite (Maiori)
The Dead horse bay or in other name Bellabaia is often referred as the most beautiful bay on the Amalfi Coast.
It is only accessible by boat.
But what if I tell you there is an other way?
Book a place in this camping and you will get a backyard access to the bay.
Although its only for the adventurous.
Beach Access:
Contrary to the luxury hotels, there are no elevators to bring you down to the sea level. A rather narrow path on the cliffside with 350 steps will take you to the proximity of the bay.
The staircase ends in the sea, but in a rocky part of it. From here you still have to swim couple of meters to get on the bay itself. So bringing towels, and snacks with you would only be possible in a waterproof bag.
Glamping at Bella Baia
This is a traditional lemon farm that works also as a camping.
Other than classic campings, you don’t need your own tent or cooking equipment.
You’ll find pre-made tents and space for cooking. All tents come with BBQ area with charcoal ready to use.
Tents are under the lemon orchards, across different levels of the agricultural terraces.
This is a fantastic place if you want to stay immersed in the nature. And what could be more characteristic to the Amalfi Coast than glamping in an actual lemon farm?

The camping is little before the town of Maiori. Easily accessible from the main road. Public bus stops nearby.

Parking: Limited parking places for additional price are available. Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 15 per day.
Bed and Breakfast Da Claudio(Conca dei Marini)
The restaurant of Euroconca also has a Bnb and private sea access.
Reviews say it’s pretty basic, but the location is quit exclusive. And you can enjoy the sea without the immense crows, so that’s good. Also affordable pricing.
It’s very near to the stunning Furore Fjord. You can walk to the iconic beach in 5 minutes from this hotel.
Beach Access:
Platform solarium over rocky beachside. Umbrellas and sun loungers are available.
The private waterfront it’s a bargain for the price of the rooms.
Price Range: $130 – $200 /night (for 2 guests)
Parking: Available for an additional fee.
Transport options: 20 meters from the property, you’ll find a bus stop. Public transport connecting to Amalfi and Positano.
